Khaera's Story

I have been working in the Laga Handbags workshop (in Aceh) for 1.5 years. My father died a long time ago, so now I live with my mother and my 3 brothers. We are all now grown up, so we can’t keep depending on our aging mother to take care of our needs. I realized I had to start living independently.

Since I work at Laga Handbags, I don’t have to depend on my mother or my brothers anymore. I can take care of my own needs and I’m even able to help my mother a little bit.
